Leadership of a multi-discipline team structured into four main work streams: Subsea controls, Integrity, Interventions, Brownfield projects • Ensured assurance, compliance, risk management and mitigation through the implementation of the One Dana Management System (ODMS), the HSSE Standards and adherence to Performance Standards.• Developed and implemented the Pipeline Management Systems (PIMS) and incorporating their pipeline best practice to all pipeline infrastructure.• Championed a vision for consistent practices for underwater operations across all projects and operations, including green-field capital projects. Delivering a Dana UK Underwater Operations Management System (UOMS) and successful HSE Diving Inspectorate Offshore Duty Holder Dive Management Review (ODDMR). Ownership and management of an annual operating budget of c. £40 million whilst delivering cost efficiencies without compromising safe operations. • Utilising cutting edge technology and establishing a life extension forum to review condition and formally extend life of oil flexible risers resulting in the deferment of £50 million of capital expenditure.• Challenging the requirement to subsea intelligently pig the PiPsystems and successfully completing a topside intelligent pigging programme, reducing cost by 90%.• Proactively managing Regulator relationships; Pipeline and Diving Inspectorates.• Successfully optimised Technical Authority / Lead Engineer roles ensuring provision of appropriate independence, whilst always providing guidance on the differences between safety risk and business risk, allowing an appropriate balance between technical integrity and fit for purpose business solutions.

• Subsea (Integrity) Engineer within ENI UK Production Operations Dept. providing Subsea Engineering support. • Senior Representative onboard the CSO Wellservicer during Flexible Riser Change out.• Defined and executed the wellhead valve integrity testing program for the Balmoral Template subsea trees. • Prepared & managed budgets, contracts and tenders relating to subsea activities. Provided technical expertise to support Safety Case and environmental submissions.• Responsible Engineer; for workscope definition, vessel selection and offshore execution for asset anchor chain reinstatement. • Senior Client Representative offshore during two air diving programs outside of UK. Performed IMCA Diving Equipment Systems Audit on the Dutch Diving air dive spread to ensure compliance with required legislation.• Project engineer for new subsea well tie-back. Workscope activities included jumper installation, control module installation and diagnostics, valve installations, pipework modifications, pigging and integrity testing.• Provided onshore engineering support for three Well Interventions to correct the non-operation of downhole safety valves (DHSVs) by installation of a lockout sleeve and subsea support during the offshore works. • Acted as Senior offshore Client Representative for all offshore during saturation & air diving activites to ensure safe execution of integrity scopes.

• Managed the annual work programme and budgets for subsea inspection, repair and maintenance programmes for all Elf structures and pipelines in the UK North Sea. Ensured compliance, implementation and completion of the subsea related DTI Abandonment Conditions for the Piper Alpha wreck.• Monitored and audited contractors to ensure safe and efficient operations offshore.• Mobilised platform/vessel based ROVs and pipeline survey vessels to implement inspection programmes. Supported the Subsea & Pipeline Engineering Team Leader during DSV mobilisations and in his absence assumed responsibility for this area. • Management the successful execution of the Claymore anode riser removal project. • Managed the asset integrity data, including quality assurance, to ensure rigorous and accurate reporting and trending.• Revolutionised the Elf ROV contracting strategy to develop cost effective and flexible contracts. Compiled and evaluated tender documents and made recommendations of award for all ROV and pipeline survey contracts.Identified & subsequently pursued cost saving opportunities relating particularly to the use of ROVs in favour of divers.

• Provided Company representation offshore during annual structural / pipeline surveys. Pro-actively monitored safety and quality through routine audits. • Completed Phillips, Arco, Shell, BP, Amoco and Chevron annual inspection programmes offshore. Participated during initial survey to establish Phillips Hewett riser failure.)• Evaluated and prepared tender documents, relating to subsea template and jacket installations, pipe laying, pipeline inspection and general positioning.
