Submit all new and renewal Home Medical Equipment (HME) license to the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). Follow up on our applications for surveys. Create and update Comprehensive Emergency Management Plans (CEMP) with all clinics who hold an HME license, follow up with the Florida Department of Health for all counties to get our approval letters for our CEMP’s we submitted. Hold education calls with all 86 clinics who hold an HME license to teach them about the clinics red HME binder and personnel files to be compliant with AHCA’s rules and regulations. Update our smart sheets and excel sheets, updating our team’s channel (internal and external) so the clinics have access to the proper documents needed.

Run reports of our daily schedules, verify eligibility, run benefits, update alerts on patient’s accounts, request authorizations for office visits-testing, eye injections and surgery. Use all online portals for benefits, call insurance companies to verify insurance and benefits. Call PCP office to get authorizations. Call patients if there is a problem with insurance. Scanning/importing documents into system. Medical secretary, greet patients, check in patients, verify all demographics are current and are updated with patient, scanning in insurance cards, scanning in documents, check out patients, scheduling appointments, collecting co-pay(or payment due or pass due balances), answering phones, transferring calls to the appropriate person/department, helping patients with any question when they call, counting money from drawers and travel bags, auditing previous day’s work(correcting any errors they may have made.)Training new employees the above referenced protocols and procedures.
