Undergraduate Research Assistant
CurrentContributed to the development of FIReVision, a wildfire simulator using Unreal Engine 5 and AirSim, by implementing key features such as keyboard-controlled drone navigation, real-time object detection using AirSim API, and autonomous data collection. Collected and processed datasets of 15,000+ images to improve object detection models for human and vehicle detection in wildfire scenarios.Produced a high-quality demo video showcasing FIReVision's capabilities, targeting submission for the Unreal Engine Epic MegaGrant.Presented FIReVision at CMU's Meeting of the Minds research symposium, highlighting its potential impact in wildfire management and robotics.
