I played Varsity D1 tennis for 3 years in Highschool and in my senior year I was co-captain and also won the ‘Spirit Award’. I love playing Tennis and going on walks. I was able to learn the recipes and beer list confidently to be able to suggest personal favorites and the most popular menu items, and I was able to recite from memory all the ingredients used in each entree. What I learned most from this position, was not how to make our famous Torpedo sandwich, but the importance of community. Located in a not-so-visible area, we relied on word of mouth and the community of Scripps Ranch to support our business. Over a year in this position, I've met a lot of people that told me all of their nostalgic memories of Pazzos. How they would always come here after a high school football game, or how all their friends had their first job here. A couple loved Pazzos so much that they held their wedding rehearsal dinner in our small parlor.These stories and experiences stuck with me as I realized, all these people don't keep coming back for the pizza ( granted it's delicious) but they come back for the people, the genuine and personal relationships that our employees created with guests. We all collectively have a sense of pride walking into our parlor, and it feels like coming home.
