Senior Marketing & Engagement Coordinator
Human Trafficking Outreach Coordinator | Marketing Specialist
I oversee the Georgia Department of Driver Services' federally funded CDL Human Trafficking Education & Outreach Program. In this role, I implement a multi-pronged communication and public relations strategy to truck drivers and commercial motor vehicle stakeholders, which include public awareness, education, and training in the CDL community.I review published global, national, and state-level human trafficking data and reports. I tailor training to the industry-specific audience by presenting information relating to the work environment. During my first 6 months, I wrote the script for a month-long human trafficking awareness PSA on Georgia radio, television, and digital platforms during National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month (January). With nearly 2,300 spots, the radio spot broadcasted on over 80 stations. The TV commercial aired on nearly 700 stations across 30 markets. The total value of the TV and radio spots was over $250,000. The digital component earned over 3.5 million impressions. My first year, I attended 29 webinars, conferences, trainings, and summits. I've been a public speaker at 10 invited guest speaker engagements, speaking to a total audience of 500 people, and I've also exhibited at 4 outreach events.
Program Outreach Coordinator | Communication Specialist
As the GMSP Outreach Coordinator, I plan and execute communications and public relations strategies to promote the Georgia Motorcycle Safety Program (GMSP) and the "Share the Road" awareness campaign. I specialize in creating and organizing social media content, writing and disseminating press releases, researching state and national motorcycle traffic data, while using graphic design to create informational handouts for outreach events and industry stakeholders. In my first year, I exceeded the outreach events requirement by 37% attending 28 events traveling in 26 Georgia cities. By traveling across the state to attend outreach events, I interacted 1,000 Georgia residents who enjoy motorcycle culture, are experienced motorcyclists, and/or completed a GMSP RiderCourse. I've wrote 6 press releases on motorcycle-related topics ranging from seasonal safe riding techniques to state and national crash statistics. In addition to having a good time interacting with Georgia residents at events, I was able to represent GMSP in a news feature on accessWDUN.
Front Desk Supervisor
Convention Services Coordinator
As a Convention Services Coordinator, I served dual roles as a Sales Coordinator and Sheraton Atlanta Hotel Marketing Coordinator. As a Sales Coordinator, I assisted the sales and catering departments with administrative tasks. I assisted in writing correspondence, coordinating sales details and event orders, conducting site visits, and managing room reservations and event space. On the marketing front, I used my social media management skills to oversee the hotel social media presence across 3 platforms: Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. I was responsible for creating social media content, managing the guest experience reputation software, and implementing service-recovery strategies to track effectiveness. A responsibility that I thoroughly enjoyed was overseeing the guest service feedback system. The insight allowed me to implement effective reputation management practices as I could see guest reviews in real-time.I worked cross-functionally with department managers to share insight on negative feedback to proactively identify areas to improve service. On average, the property received 300 guest surveys and reviews a month. My responsibility was to respond to the customer-generated content within a 48-hour period. For the first 5 months in my position, the property consistently ranked top in region for a platinum status response rate. By monitoring reviews, surveys and social media mentions, I neutralized guests negative experience to create an exceptional post-stay experience.
Guest Service Agent
Digital Marketing Intern
I managed the marketing department blogger and influencer outreach program by researching and identifying family-oriented digital influencers. I was the point of contact for promotional reviews to source user-generated content. As a member of the digital media team, I assisted in developing content creation strategies to increase engagement across brand channels. To promote digital campaigns to increase show sales, I created and designed social media graphics and web content consistent with the UniverSoul brand. I developed brand reputation management skills following policies by monitoring feedback across social media channels and external outlets for negative press.
Research Assistant And Producer Internship
I worked as a Research Assistant for Metro Connection, a 60-minute daytime radio show featuring neighbors from the DMV region, at WAMU 88.5 during my internship with the Fund for American Studies.I used Adobe Audition to create 2 audio postcards (radio pieces) for the "Door-to-Door" part of the show using knowledge of digital media and data journalism. I researched hotspot communities and interviewed residents to learn what their neighborhoods meant to them. After talking to guests, I took the audio from the interview to piece together stories to air on "Metro Connection". As a Research Assistant, I transcribed interviews, and researched and fact-checked information to source in news stories.
