At the University of Florida, I have furthered my understanding responsibilities of chemical engineers and acquired new skills. I've gotten involved in the chemical engineering department at UF through peer tutoring lab classes where I teach modules like filtration and distillation. Outside of classes, I work as the technical director of ChemE Car, a chemical engineering design team, where I coordinate teams to research color changing reactions and compete each semester at AIChE conference.I also involve myself outside of the chemical engineering department in a few ways. For my senior design course, I've opted into UF IPPD where I will get to work in a multidisciplinary team to solve a problem for an industrial sponsor. To be able to better understand solving numerical problems and analyzing data, I've worked through my computer science minor. Finally, I involve myself in a professional club called the Society of Asian Scientist and Engineers where I can network and learn from students from all disciplines.I'm excited to continue these activities in my last year in college and look forward gaining more professional experience. I hope to constantly gain more knowledge as I continue into my career as I am constantly willing to learn.
