I have been managing my business for more than a decade now. Providing Personal Concierge services to clients to assist in completing their To Do Lists. My responsibilities encompassed: manage, assess revenue, and allocate resources to determine overall profitability of the concierge business and strategise effective means to increase profit; operate autonomously in all facets of business such as strategic planning, operations, marketing, customer relations, revenue growth, financial management, business development and price negotiations; compile files and administrative records and maintain bookkeeping ensuring accuracy of accounts; maintain and update website and social media accounts for brand awareness expanding the target demographics of the business.To be successful in running a business, it is imperative that I establish a courteous approach to customers especially in addressing their concerns to maintain professionalism and quality service; demonstrate outstanding courtesy and strong interpersonal skills in all customer interactions to gain patronage. Focus on customer satisfaction, loyalty, and follow-up by establishing customer-centric culture of communication, collaboration, & accountability resulting in top tier performance. Holding the position of a Director for iCALM, I have been proud that I was partner in establishing the sole industry body focussing on the Personal Concierge and Lifestyle Management industry in Australia and New Zealand. Together with my business partner, we conceptualised and developed the Diploma of Personal Concierge Services—the only accredited Concierge training programme in the world. We also created forms and templates for the members to utilise in their own personal concierge businesses. Some of my responsibilities consisted of but not limited to attending to networking events for continuous introduction of the organisation’s existence as an industry; providing training, mentoring sessions to new Personal Concierge for skills development and knowledge upgrade; formulating business strategies and identifying areas to market the business to potential members; complying with the industry standards and code of ethics to guarantee best practices in the industry.Once a year, I organised the iCALM conference aiming to communicate and discuss business-related matters.

As an Event Manager, I managed Heavy Vehicle Industry Week components of Brisbane Truck Show 2019, overseeing the coordination and planned organisation of the event.Designed, planned and coordinated trade booths for various areas of the show. Managed SouthBank Roadhouse; successfully closed Little Stanley St and Stanley St Plaza and scheduled 23 trucks and trailers for attic display. I also collaborated with Brisbane Truck Show Team during bump-in, show days and bump-out to ensure smooth flow of the activities show; liaised with venues and key stakeholders to coordinate floorplans and schedules; coordinated event signage ensuring they were displayed at proper places for visibility; implemented Jobs Hub as a platform for exhibitors at the show for advertisement and for visitors to the show for interviews and potential employment; assembled creative and innovative event attractions based on internal capabilities or outsourced to qualified vendors; finally, conducted post-show debriefing and recommendations for the next show as required.

Being a Senior Event Manager, I coordinated and executed numerous exhibitions with up to 1000 trade booths, and handled all event requests and enquires. Likewise, I managed the events for Rotary International Congress, Goodwill Games, Australian Tourism Export Council, QLD Gift Fair, Craft Fair (in 6 states), Qld Hospitality Expo, Qld Mining Expo.To materialise the events, I conceptualised and prepared creative proposals customising in accordance to individual client's needs and requirements; liaised between organiser and venue management, in-house designers and other 3rd party vendors leading up to the event, ensuring that both client and event requirements were met; managed the workflow, logistical support, including coordination and arrangement of all event signages, and timeliness of the delivery for the event projects; worked closely with event assistant, CAD designer and project manager and other members of the team to collectively produce a successful event; and, addressed the concerns of the clients ensuring their needs were resolved to their satisfaction and requirements met.
