  • Breast Cancer
    Interrupted By Breast Cancer.
    Breast Cancer Jun 2017 - Jun 2022
I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2017 at the age of 39. My life was put on hold as I went through surgery and recovery. After the treatment, I took stock, I volunteered as a Patient Advocate for the Irish Cancer Society, Breakthrough Cancer Research and became a PPI (Public Patient Involvement) Member of the Irish Association for Cancer Research. My focus was very much in and around the world of cancer and processing my experience. The road has been a bit windy as I have figured out where I wanted to be and what I wanted to do. Happy to say I marked five years NED (no evidence of disease) in 2022.
  • Millbrook Resort
    Design Lead & Marketing Executive
    Millbrook Resort May 2016 - Jul 2017
    Millbrook Resort, Arrowtown, New Zealand
My in-house role at Millbrook Resort called on all my previous work experience. I had to wear multiple hats — graphic designer, photographer, project manager, and marketing executive. I managed my own workload to meet deadlines.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager I implemented marketing campaigns across all printed and digital formats, provided creative direction in the new brand rollout, liaised with external partners and vendors. A large part of the role was championing the new brand standards across all internal departments. The role was challenging, engaging and rewarding.

A wide varied role that has involved graphic design, project and account management, staff supervision and training, finance, client and contractor liaison. I facilitated Feast to be able to deal with a larger number of jobs, their turnover increased by 33% during my employment! It was a very fast-paced, hands-on and client-facing role. I learned to manage the studio workload with the frequent pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Balance Sports Ltd
    Creative Manager
Balance Sports Ltd Apr 2012 - Nov 2013
    Methven, New Zealand
In the time I worked with Balance Sports Ltd I managed two ski shops and worked in my own designed spaces. It was always hands-on. We knew what worked and we changed what did not, it was a continual evolution. The role included managing all aspects of a ski store - customer service, sales, stock inventory, and staff. The shops were targeted at different demographics and therefore required separate marketing and promotional materials.
