Accessed data and images regarding the genus Bombus from a variety of online sources, including institutional collections databases and the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF). Learnt how to build image libraries and train a neural network for taxonomic identification using the NOUS software package.

Project title: Next generation phylogeography of marbled newts.Employed a c. 6,884 nuclear marker data set to test for signals of interspecific admixture and unveil the intraspecific genetic structure of the two closely related newt species (Triturus marmoratus and Triturus pygmaeus).

Throughout my military service I received education on basic nursing skills (i.e. blood sampling) and worked as a microbiology laboratory assistant in the hospital's lab during working days and hours. In that period, I learned how to set up, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, monitor experiments, make observations, and calculate and record results. Additionally, I was taught how to analyze blood, urine and stool samples.
