Programme Engagement Lead, Future Farming & Countryside Programme
The farming sector is going through a once-in-a-generation change following the UK's departure from the European Union. I lead, support, and advise the people (clinical commissioners) who plan, design, and buy (commission) health and care services in Wandsworth and Merton.I bring expertise in policy, strategy, and good practice relating to public involvement to ensure that clinical commissioners can shape operational and strategic commissioning activities in partnership with local people. I ensure that equality, diversity, and inclusion forms a key part of strategic plans and policies so that commissioning decisions are informed by the views of a wide cross section of the local population. The insights gathered by my team have shaped public consultations on £500M investment in hospital development, and engagement on service transformation totaling over £200M.I connected deprivation indices and flu uptake data to highlight geographies that would need targeted communications and engagement as part of the COVID vaccination programme. My prioritisation methodology was adopted across the entire SW London patch.I structured, planned, and prioritised my team’s workload in collaboration with vaccine delivery leads to run more than 150 events on health, wellbeing, and the COVID vaccination programme.
