ELS is the largest recruiter of international students for US and Canadian universities. ELS Language Centers provide an intensive immersion program to prepare international students for academic success.As the ISA, I act as first point of contact and main resource for 1000+ international adult students annually. In an effort to promote student engagement and maintain high retention rates I focus on student development and leadership, program management, event planning, social media outreach, as well as the following:• Grow strong relationships with 50+ prospective and current student placement agencies, withan awareness and sensitivity to cross-cultural communication, needs and concerns.• Used data-driven feedback from needs analyses, focus groups, surveys and evaluations toenhance student experience and increase retention rates by 15%.• Act as first point of contact and main resource for 1000+ international adult students annually, promote student engagement and maintain high retention rates.• Project manager for a variety of projects including social media campaigns and programevaluations.• Train incoming IELTS clerical markers on exam marking procedures.• Plan, promote, conduct and maintain budget for 40+ annual American cultural immersionevents and activities.• Counsel students with college selection, admission and academic transfer process and organize monthly college recruitment presentations.• Manage complex US Immigration matters for 90-150 students each month, on average.• Translate in Spanish to incoming students and their families.• Plan, coordinate and present 13 annual new student orientations in collaboration with ELS staff.

- Instruct classes of 10-15 international adult students monthly in English language structure, syntax and academic usage.- Facilitate a safe learning environment for a very diverse student body, ensuring all students participate and respect others’ views.- Adhere to designated timeline and company goals, and develop measureables to track language competency and curriculum effectiveness. - Act as Certified Proctor and Exam Marker for TOEFL and IELTS, globally recognized English proficiency tests, twice per month on average.- Meet daily and weekly company deadlines for feedback, evaluations and report cards.- Adapt to unexpected challenges and cultural differences to keep classes both engaging and constructive.- Take initiative as lead in extracurricular roles: one-on-one tutoring and IELTS test preparation and administration.- Stay current on best practices through in-house trainings and participation in conferences, and implement those practices to achieve successful results.

Developed online learning workspaces for sustainment activities used to follow-up after training sessions. Created interactive and intuitive online content to engage learners. Configured Typeform to be used as a learning management system. Considered multiple learning preferences and accessibility in workspace design.
