As a retired Kansas City Police Officer, my career of duty and service took an unforeseen turn when a traumatic incident on duty resulted in a life-altering Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Beyond the physical and mental toll, this moment catalyzed a profound exploration of self and purpose. Through years of understanding, failure, and hard work, I emerged from adversity to where I stand now.Adaptive sports became my sanctuary, transforming challenges into opportunities and gateways to possibilities.
