About Katian Caria

I have over 23 years of professional experience in human performance development, HR consulting, conflict mediation, negotiation, influencing and executive coaching. I have a very international background, born in Mozambique and raised in South Africa. I've lived and worked in France, Italy, Belgium and Brazil. I am keen on learning new perspectives and building authentic and empathetic relationships, allowing people to flourish and succeed whilst connecting with their deepest values and goals. Work ExperienceI started my career at the European Parliament in Strasbourg and later at the European Commission in Brussels. I have had the privilege of working in culturally diverse and inclusive environments. I created my own consultancy 15 plus years ago and have sold my services to many global clients within the public and private sectors. I have experience in managing cultural transformation & change management projects and have delivered numerous personal & professional development programs. I have supported organizations in their negotiations with multiple suppliers in times of financial crisis, helping them prepare, negotiate, and conduct difficult conversations. Conflict management, mediation and conscious communication are familiar approaches for me. EducationI studied International Relations and I hold a master’s degree in European Studies. I am also a certified conflict mediator (recognized by the Portuguese Ministry of Justice) and a professionally certified executive coach. Additionally, I facilitate MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) courses and I’m qualified to lead numerous Leadership programs with various TOP 10 Training companies. I am currently based in Lisbon, Portugal, and deliver training in Portuguese (PTG and BR), English and Italian. I also speak French and Spanish.
