I work on the Center of Reporting Excellence team. This team’s goal is to streamline reporting across the business unit, making it as efficient and accurate as possible. Owner of about 30 reports. These vary from daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Analyze assets and flows for Fidelity’s institutional clients. Run and distribute different reports that show our business partners data from these institutional clients. Perform ad hoc requests for partners that need an issue or report researched or analyzed further. Create queries in different databases to pull information on clients to analyze differences in data warehouses. Tools used include: Excel, SAP Business Objects, Oracle BIEE, Essbase, Live Office, and others.

I worked as a customer service representative answering phones to best service Fidelity’s customers with their retirement accounts. I specifically worked in the Tax Exempt market which consists of people who have 403b, 401a, 457b, and a few 401k. I would handle different transactions such as, making exchanges of single mutual funds or rebalancing an entire account with all different funds. Processing money out transactions was a large part of what I did as well as assisting people with contribution increases and educating them on their plan. When someone had gotten hired on and needed to enroll I would assist them in getting set in their plan however they instructed. My responsibilities also required me to research issues that occurred within a retirement account and problem solve to fix the issue. I would reach out to other companies or employers to get more information in order to come up with the best solution before following up with the customer with my solution. Sometimes this would take a couple of days, sometimes a couple of weeks. Overall this job was very rewarding as I learned a lot about the world of retirement planning. Coming in I was very ignorant on all things retirement and this role changed that. I know have the knowledge of what saving for retirement should look like.

Deerwood Apartments

My main job as a Leasing Agent is getting people to join the community of Deerwood Apartments. To do this I have to have to be outgoing and responsive to prospective residents and help them with anything they need. I give tours and explain to people who visit how everything works at Deerwood. If they have a question I don't know the answer to, I find that answer as soon as I can and get back to them. A big part of the job is following up with people who come in or who call looking for information. I get to touch base with them to see if they had any questions come up or if they are ready to move on in the process of leasing an apartment. When a customer submits an application I get to process the application and go through all the steps to get them to Deerwood as painless as possible. Maintaing report with current residents is also a huge job for me and one I love the most. Getting to know them and becoming friends is a great perk and a reason I love dealing with people and helping them in any way I can.

I help out the project managers with what they need and contribute my skills to add to the projects overall success and execution. I also work on testing and the organization of projects in SAP. Once a week I pull the dashboard, using Excel, that displays all projects, then look over it to make sure budgets and timelines are being kept and followed. If not, I contact the project manager and address the issue.

I am in charge of 96 residents. I put on programs for residents at University Pines to come and hang out and get better acquainted with their community. I work in the office answering phones and helping residents or residents' parents with whatever it is that they needed. I give tours and help people with the leasing process. My team participated in Relay for life and on campus events such as Patriot Preview day. I also get to handle situations when residens break the rules. UT Police has to come and take care of things sometimes and then I write an incident report. Many times during leasing season I make 20-40 calls a week to prospects to give them information about University Pines and how it is a great place to live.

I was responsible for accepting and processing my customers' orders and payments. I worked with a cash register and a credit card machine. I mastered the computer program that all the orders were put into. I was responsible for closing and opening the store, cleaning, and sometimes cooking. I had the privilege to supervise and train new wait staff.

I was general maintenance on rental properties and apartment complexes. I got to replace and repair worn out appliances. I painted, remolded and did a lot of landscaping. After people moved out, my team and I went in and fixed anything that had been broken in order to make ready the apartment ready for the next tenant. Me and my co worker mainly did grounds work like mowing, edging, and weed whacking. We also planted shrubs and laid mulch.
