I lead teams that shape communication, marketing and overall business strategy for a variety of clients in agriculture, healthcare and food categories. In addition to leading account service for a key agency client, I also have responsibility for digital strategy and marketing research across the agency. As part of the agency's executive team, I oversee finance, accounting, human resources, IT and facilities.

January 2009 to May 2009: Located in AGDATA's Cambridge, ON, office overseeing analytical projects and database marketing activities for a portfolio of clients in the Canadian market.May 2002 to December 2008: Located in AGDATA's Charlotte, NC, corporate headquarters overseeing a wide range of processes and projects in support of a single client’s database marketing activities. Projects included a large and complex rebate fulfillment system (several hundred million dollars in annual disbursements); a cooperative promotion allowing a diverse set of my client's channel partners to mass customize promotional offers to their customers; a business process engine to streamline management and stewardship of a biotechnology product; and sophisticated customer data mining and statistical analysis projects.

Supervised $5 million worth of relationship marketing activities for a major client (performance marketing, channel support, direct mail, lead generation, targeted media, coordination with overall integrated communication campaigns). Before that, managed more than $1 million worth of database marketing activities for another major client (direct mail; telemarketing; lead generation, qualification and scoring; customer research; sales data mining and propensity-to-buy modeling).

Various internships and short-term assignments in print production, database marketing, media planning and account service while attending university.

Covered city council, school board and other local government beats for hometown newspaper with circulation of 5,000 and staff of about 10 while attending high school and university. Also managed darkroom for two years and edited/designed the front page for three years. (Various part-time and full-time arrangements over 5 years).
