As a software engineer with a passion for learning and problem-solving, I constantly seek out new challenges to push my skills to the next level. Over the past few years I've begun to develop a solid foundational knowledge of machine learning models, techniques, and so on. Leveraging what I've learned, I've developed and refined innovative models to solve complex tasks in parts thanks to the incorporation of cutting-edge software tools and techniques. Furthermore, I've learned the importance of not just the models themselves but also the metrics used to evaluate them. The goalpost by which a model compares shapes it and informs design decisions in critical ways. To this end, I've developed novel metrics to go along with the models I developed to further improve my results.In addition to my professional work, I spend much of my time volunteering at Haverford High School as the lead technical mentor for the robotics team. As a student on the team, I was given the inspiration and opportunity to learn so much and despite this I feel like I almost learn more as a mentor. In fact, if you have a job in STEM and live near a FIRST robotics team, I might suggest mentoring too! Mentoring for me consists of teaching students about CAD, manufacturing, embedded systems programming, control theory, and other skills relevant to the industry along with a number of soft skills for coming up with designs, working in groups, managing projects, keeping track of deadlines, accounting for unknowns, etc.With a deep commitment to excellence and a track record of success in both my professional and personal pursuits, I am always eager to take on new challenges and explore new horizons. Whether I'm developing cutting-edge AI models or helping to inspire the next generation of engineers, I am passionate about using technology to make the world a better place, one project at a time.
