An eager and passionate Graduate Interior Designer hoping to enter the design industry to further her knowledge in the fields of construction, design and decoration. Katerina’s previous experience in office branch management, hospitality management and customer service has provided her with the skills to work efficiently and professionally independently and also within a team. Katerina’s passion for design has been influenced by her family’s South American heritage and their involvement in running cultural events. This has led her to a broad perspective of the way people interact, the importance of functionality in a space and problem-solving. She is determined to continually push design boundaries and utilise her creativity to design spaces that are not only functional but excite the user.Katerina believes her strongest skill lies in the versatility of her designs. She is not afraid to step out of her comfort zone which has allowed her to produce projects with an array of different styles and ideals. Her creativity lies in her highly conceptual approach to translating her inspiration and ideas into places and experiences. She also has a detail-orientated approach to her designs that is translated into her construction documentation and scheduling.She has been commended for numerous projects, in particular she was awarded the Crosby Tiles Judges Choice Runner-up for a contemporary bathroom design competition. She has gained knowledge in the building industry through her partner’s and family’s building background and also through the renovation of her own house. Katerina has also gained decorating knowledge and experience through her employment atWest Elm.
