For the Disaster Recover Committee, Govt. of the Virgin Islands, I drove strategic planning and policy development in support of disaster response planning and prevention as a key leader and advisor. I supported development of administrative functions and process improvements, financing and resource allocation, and community/business partnership development. I led policy framework ideation and content development and response protocols for devastating hurricanes across the region.Moreover, I co-authored the National Recovery to Development Plan for the Virgin Islands, including devising and implementing organizational and financial structures to ensure successful plan launch.

Here, I championed a special unit of professionals in charge of implementing the BVI Financial Services Consultancy Report produced by McKinsey & Co to re-develop, diversify and strengthen the BVI financial services industry, including repositioning the sector, identifying diversification strategies/plans, creating a new private sector driven promotional/business development agency and developing new sub-sector plans. I established BVI Finance Limited as a public-private partnership to lead the promotion and business development of the financial services industry.

British Virgin Islands

In this role, I spearheaded the promotion and rebranding of financial services offerings and industry development in challenging global economic circumstances. I drove strategic advice to the Government on global economic and political developments affecting the long-term interests of the Territory as an international financial services centre and strengthened the marketing/promotion of the agency. I also comprehensively overhauled and rebranded the International Finance Centre as BVI Finance and strengthening the public-private partnership for business development of its various sub-sectors and international promotion.
