About Kee Chan, Phd, Mba

With over 15 years of experience in public health, health services research, and scientific affairs, I am dedicated to developing innovative, cost-effective strategies to improve population health with a particular emphasis on maternal and child health. My PhD research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) contributed to the development of the newborn screening test for severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID), which has since been adopted across all U.S. states and numerous countries worldwide. My career spans academia, nonprofit organizations, and the healthcare industry, where I have consistently focused on translating research into impactful, sustainable solutions. I have successfully established strategic partnerships with academic institutions, nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, and industry stakeholders to expand the rare diseases network and facilitate the implementation of newborn screening into public health practice. In addition to my expertise in public health, I am a certified instructional designer for online learning and an alumna of the Institute for Emerging Leadership in Online Learning at the Online Learning Consortium.
