Resume dr. Kees J. VosKees J. Vos has a university degree in industrial sociology and a PHD in social sciences. After having worked for two years as a research assistant in social sciences at the Free University in Amsterdam he has worked at the Dutch ministry of social affairs and employment (1970-2005). He has held different posts in the ministry in areas such as workers’ participation, safety and health, international social policy. He has been member of several national and international administrative boards and committees, co-editor of scientific magazines.Currently he acts as an independent consultant and as expert for national and international research institutes, such as TNO-Netherlands and the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions. He is (2005-2010) president (since September 2010 honorary president) of the European Federation for Employee Shareholders (EFES), (since 2006) board-member of the International Association for Financial Participation (IAFP), (since 1996) board member of the Dutch Participation Institute (NPI), and (since 1985) member of the editorial board of the Dutch Journal of Labour Studies (Tijdschrift voor Arbeidsvraagstukken).He has (co-)published over a hundred books, articles and essays on industrial relations, working conditions, national and international social policy. More recent publications deal with European social policy (2011), European (2006) and Dutch industrial relations (2007, 2012), financial participation (2008), globalization (2009), employability (2011), flexibilisation (2013).
