I work closely with our billing company to ensure payments from patients and insurance companies are received; including but not limited to tasks such as one on one financial conversations with patients in office; explaining prior to surgery their insurance coverage and their financial responsibility for charges as well as reaching out to patients after surgery whose accounts have gone past due into working out payment plans and understanding their situation; initiation insurance appeals for services rendered, ensuring that the billing company receives all the clinical documentation and codes needed to process claims.
