Every day in the field is different, and I love every minute of it. I started in sales straight out of high school working for Plymart Lumber Co. in Inside Sales. I worked my way up through the ranks of Inside Sales and even had a stint in Outside Sales. I learned the importance of building sound relationships with my clients. I made a change to work for 84 Lumber, a national company, and continued in Inside Sales. I opened a new branch where I became the Operations Manager. Working for 84 Lumber was a great experience and it afforded me an abundance of knowledge and skills. I knew deep down that I wanted to be in Outside Sales. I continued my journey toward my goal and joined Georgia Construction Products (GCP) in 2003. For three years, I grew as an Inside Sales Associate. I still remember the day an opportunity was handed to me, and I took the leap to Outside Sales/Account Management. I have never looked back. These past ten years have been the greatest and most rewarding of my career. I have met hundreds of people, and together we have worked on thousands of projects. I have excelled in Outside Sales for a couple different reasons. One of those is that my years working on the organizational side of the companies has given me a rounded understanding of what the sales process involves from beginning to end which helps to facilitate a smooth transaction. The other is that I am a hands-on individual. I live by one simple sales motto, “If I sell it, I can install it”. My technical savvy sets me apart from most others in my field. I am not just a guy with an order pad. I am a member of your team working together to meet one common goal: A great project from beginning to end.
