CurrentAs the Director of Studies at EC Malta, which remains the largest EC school in the group, I spearhead the strategic, academic, and operational initiatives that drive educational excellence and student success. My role sits at the intersection of education management and business leadership, allowing me to blend pedagogical knowledge with strategic business acumen.Key responsibilities include:- Strategic Leadership: Developing and executing strategic plans that enhance our educational offering, improve student engagement and meet the current needs in the EFL industry.- Performance Management: Establishing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess organisational effectiveness and make data-driven decisions that foster a degree of excellence.- Human Resources Management: Overseeing the HR functions in the Academic department, including talent acquisition, training, and professional development, appraisals and performance management, to build a team of high-performing educational professionals.- Operational Excellence: Thanks to my experience in the field, I can tap into a strong operational background to meticulously plan and manage school logistics, ensuring a seamless and tranquil educational environment. This strategic foresight in operations allows for a proactive rather than reactive management style, ensuring all aspects of school life are well-coordinated and thoughtfully executed.My operational expertise ensures that our large school operates smoothly, fostering a calm and focused atmosphere that enhances both teaching and learning experiences.
