I also introduced stock control procedures to ensure the store is fully stocked, delegating team members to ensure pack out and replenishment of shelves while creating efficient flow throughout warehouse; this led to a significant improvement in retail sales. Within this role, I oversaw and managed every function of Computer Generated Ordering software averaging 2,500 cases a day. I also optimized operations for the warehouse that received up to 40 pallets a day – averaging 2,500 cases of product.With an exceptional understanding of retail store management, I led the implementation of new operational policies to streamline services and ensure cost-effective management of resources.A proven leader, trainer, and motivator, I continued education on food safety, CPR, blood pathogens, fire code safety, OSHA and GHS Safety requirements, and trained employees on proper handling of power equipment and use of our CGO (Computer Generated Ordering) systems.

I completed a three-year vigorous, full-time training program, encompassing hands-on experience working in every department of the seven Perlmutter locations for a steady length of time, ranging from 2 weeks to 3 months. In 2016, I applied and was accepted into The government relations committee within Wakefern – the largest food co-op on the East Coast and ShopRite’s distributor. The committee’s mission was to increase Wakefern’s presence in Washington D.C. in order to have best interests for change in legislation. Committee meetings discussed upcoming legislation and how to prepare Wakefern for impact on changed legislation within the food industry.During this period, I attended “A Day in Washington” on three occasions – an event sponsored by NGA (National Grocer Association) and FMI (Food Marketing Institute). Broken into separate task forces to meet with our local legislators, I joined several other ShopRite owners, who also operate within New Jersey, to discuss upcoming legislation on the food industry and our businesses. In addition, I built highly productive relationships within local representatives of our company's geographic zones.
