Provide leadership by example to warehouse associates on, product merchandising, organization and warehouse cleanliness; Begin each day by assessing all warehouse, yard, and trailer conditions; Create Warehouse inventory sheet to be dispersed to all employees and retail customers; Meet daily with department leaders and associates to discuss current inventory, promotions, future sales plans, and warehouse conditions; Train back dock associates on company policies, procedures, and position responsibilities; Maintain associates by coaching, counseling, monitoring, and appraising job results; Assign tasks to back dock associates, however contribute to team effort by accomplishing tasks as needed; unloading, loading, organizing and cleaning; Be responsible for profitability of the warehouse, including operating maintenance and supply costs; Ensures work schedules allow for adequate coverage but control overtime expenditures; Ensure inbound deliveries are unloaded within specified time to avoid late fees; Organize, rotate, and consolidate inventory, using first in first out principles; Manage integrity of warehouse products by monitoring proper signing and pricing; Monitor loading of all delivery trucks to guarantee accuracy; Oversee proper stacking of unused pallets and proper disposal of all trash into container; Maintain inventory of trailers used for delivery; rotate trailers to be loaded and select for delivery based on frequency of use, destination, and maintenance needs; Inform Trailer Exchange of any minor or major repairs needed to delivery trailers or equipment by completing and submitting an “Equipment Repair Form”; Evaluate outside property on a daily basis; observe needed maintenance and inform Warehouse Operations Manager; Certify all employees have completed Forklift Certification prior to use; Understand and adhere to Warehouse Safety Guidelines;
