During a period of just over four years Keith provided consultancy services to AEW Europe, principally managing a wide range of commercial development projects in the UK and across mainland Europe and advising on all aspects of technical and environmental due diligence.In his role as Director of Development at Hermes Keith was responsible for a £1bn+ real estate development programme and managed a team of in-house development/sustainability professionals. The role involved the management of complex projects from inception to completion, including site appraisal, planning, procurement, appointment of consultant teams, budget control, and negotiating Finance, Development and Joint Venture Agreements. He was responsible for due diligence work on all commercial property acquisitions, including the appointment of appropriate professionals and the review/analysis of reports. He has experience in managing all building related issues, including improvements, dilapidations and repairs.During his time at Hermes Keith was responsible for Real Estate Valuation, Insurance and the Facilities Management team. He also developed and managed Hermes’ Responsible Property Investment (RPI) programme. Keith has in-depth experience of all types of commercial property, a strong investment acumen and an ability to clearly and succinctly convey technical issues to Investment and Asset Management teams.Over a period of some five years Keith performed the role of Executive Programme Director of the Better Buildings Partnership (BBP), a collaboration of over 30 of the UK’s leading commercial property owners/investors working to improve the sustainability of commercial building stock. He was Chair of the BBP's Green Lease Working Group, sat on the committee of the Green Property Alliance and was a member of the British Property Federation Sustainability Committee. Keith also sat on a number of UK Government advisory boards during this time.
