I am required to communicate complex, sensitive information with a range of staff internally and externally across the organisationI work on my own initiative and have a sound understanding of the business of the organisation and current practices and manage my own workload and ensure information is communicated appropriately and inquiries are directed correctly.I liaise with a wide range of people, partner organisations and agencies, both internally and externally on behalf of the Director, ensuring that a professional image is maintained at all times through appropriate use of language and behaviour.I promote equality and reducing inequalities and uphold organisational policies and principles.As the region covers the whole of the Midlands, I am happy to travel and support the Director where needed. Day to Day running of a GP Practice, delivering healthcare to prisoners and supporting the professional clinicians.I had 2 roles both at 2 1/2 days a week.Primarily I worked as the Assistant Practice Manager (APM) at HMP Whatton. Although the title suggests that I was the APM I had been running the main admin office as Practice Manager(PM) for over 3 years. This included the… Show more Day to Day running of a GP Practice, delivering healthcare to prisoners and supporting the professional clinicians.I had 2 roles both at 2 1/2 days a week.Primarily I worked as the Assistant Practice Manager (APM) at HMP Whatton. Although the title suggests that I was the APM I had been running the main admin office as Practice Manager(PM) for over 3 years. This included daily monitoring and management of SystmOne (electronic individual medical records). This included the management of individual clinics for example, dental, ophthalmology, podiatry, doctors and nurse led clinics. My other role was a secondment as the Training Coordinator for Offender Health. I was asked to undertake this role twice as a secondment.The role was initially full time and this was to help organise, coordinate and ensure that NHS prison staff were attending their mandatory training. This meant being at training sessions, liaising with other APMs and Heads of Healthcare to ensure that sufficient training was available for them to attend. I also spent a lot of my time at The Mike Harris Centre for Learning & Development based at Rampton Hospital. I increased the Offender Health mandatory training percentage from 22% to 78/9% in less than six months. My secondment was finished early as I was needed back at HMP Whatton.I was asked to be seconded a second time. This was now only on a part time basis as the mandatory percentage had stayed high. I was employed to sustain this but also look at other aspects of training. I had, alongside other key members of the Offender Health Directorate constructed a primary care gap analysis for General Nurses to improve their level and standard of customer care.I had produced an Offender Health Induction programme so that all new starters complete their mandatory training in one week and this is alongside the Trust induction.I worked in these two roles side by side and was given autonomy to manage my own time effectively and efficiently.
