After several months on the Web Support team, I was given the opportunity to move over to the programming team. On this team, I took more of an active coding role in solving issues regarding the PHP code used in the WordPress websites for the Office of Digital Humanities. These issues were varied and required creative solutions. We utilized a couple of git forges for version control, so I became well acquainted with git processes during this time as well.

As a member of the Web Support team for the Office of Digital Humanities at BYU, I was responsible for managing different websites through WordPress. I was also responsible for making style changes through the extensive usage of CSS.

As the inaugural Site Survey Coordinator, I utilized my Design Specialist experience to establish and streamline the role. I was responsible for managing communications with site surveyors, ensuring accurate information for solar designs and installations. This required keen attention to detail, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills.I provided constructive feedback to surveyors, guaranteeing organized and complete files for the design department. Drawing from my design background, I developed training materials, standardized processes, and mentored new coordinators, laying the groundwork for the department's ongoing success.

As a designer, I create final design layouts for PV systems as well as assist in creating the installation, permit, and inspection documents that will be used to create the system. I'm responsible for determining the method of interconnection for our system into the existing grid, and whether or not a customer's Main Service Panel will need to be upgraded or not. I also determine if the roof structure is suitable for our systems in regards to the state of the shingles, rafters, and sheathing.

As a proposal specialist, I was responsible for creating the first introductory documents that a customer would see when considering installing a solar system. These documents would show a rough layout of their PV system, as well as pricing plans and options. I was responsible for determining just how many panels would be required to offset their historic electric usage from the past 12 months. I used Aurora Design software to 3D model the customer's home (accurately designing both the shape and pitch of the roof) and then determine the best areas to place PV panels based on irradiation simulations and shading.
