A full career in the Army reaching the rank of Major General with experience in change management, project management, teaching international studies, logistic support, infrastructure engineering, strategic manpower planning, career management, operating in a Department of State, corporate strategy and planning at board level. Followed by 4 years as Resident Governor of the Tower of London running a £35M heritage business in a Royal Palace as part of a larger charity.Following this I spent 4.5 years as full-time salaried crew for the RNLI at Tower Lifeboat Station in London as a Staff Helmsman. I left full time employment at the end of 2016 and remained on the lifeboat crew for another 2 years as a Volunteer Helm and Community Safety Officer. I now have a portfolio of other activities: some business interests; Chairman of SSAFA France; Protection Civile (a volunteer civil security organisation in France) as a member of the local detachment council and first aider. So what does all this mean? A dynamic and versatile top executive, manager and deliverer recognised at senior board level as a skilled strategic thinker, always getting to the heart of problems and solving them. Expertise in change management, strategic planning, complex budget management, estates and facilities, performance and risk management regimes, public speaking and communications, networking, And - this is important - able to function at delivery level too - not just at the board table.

Lakeside Resources was formed in mid-2014 by a core-group of mature oil industry professionals who had all worked together internationally before, with support from a larger group of oil industry stakeholders including retired senior management with major oil companies. Funding was from private sources, but larger companies and private equity have expressed interest and support. We have every oilfield discipline required in our portfolio of personnel at hand. Our intention has always been to seek international asset acquisitions and partnerships. Our team members have run major oil company projects for decades. Thus we are perfectly qualified to operate anywhere as our own company. We are sitting on our capital for the moment with an open mind, and are being closely watched by several very large potential backers for the right project. We have experienced London lawyers and accountants standing by to diversify and issue further shares as and when we are ready. Meanwhile we operate with a very streamlined board of directors with small overheads.

Warriors to Work (W2W) is aimed at Service Leavers (SL) and early veterans who require additional support, beyond current provision, if they are to avoid potential failure in transition and all its associated moral and financial cost to society. W2W will deliver a pro-active, holistic and vertically integrated process that addresses individual needs and has a realistic, relevant and sustainable second career as its outcome. Whilst the W2W target group does not specifically include wounded, injured or sick SL, the rehabilitation and transition of whom is the responsibility of the recently enhanced Defence Recovery Capability, it will extend to both individuals who fall outside the selection criteria or capacity of the single Service recovery programmes and to mobilised reservists.
