Ingenieurs et Scientifiques de France (British Section)

We are an informal and friendly society of engineers and scientists who give equal importance to the quality of our technical activities and our fellowship. Our partners are involved and welcomed in everything we do. We are affiliated to the Société des Ingénieurs et Scientifiques de France, based in Paris and have had formal relations with our French colleagues for more than 100 years. We enjoy five or six high quality technical lectures each year at a variety of London venues, each followed by dinner. In addition, we normally arrange two ‘voyages’ each year of three- or four-days duration, generally but not exclusively to France. These incorporate visits to technical or cultural establishments and major construction sites. The ‘voyages’ have equally important and enjoyable technical and social components and, of course, provide the opportunity to sample and appreciate French culture and cuisine. We are open to membership from like-minded people from all fields of engineering and science and are always delighted to welcome new members (see our website).
