Keith Cornell is a highly regarded prosthetics specialist with over four decades of experience in the field. He is the President and co-owner of Cornell Orthotics & Prosthetics, a company he founded in 1985, which has grown to multiple locations and approximately 30 FTE’s. He is also the President and founder of CJ Socket Technologies, which he founded in 2010, and received a US patent for the CJ ActivFIT Socket in 2015.Keith's dedication to patient-focused care has earned him a strong reputation as one of the leading specialists in upper and lower prosthetics. He was instrumental in the passing of the Prosthetic Parity legislation in Massachusetts, ensuring comprehensive coverage for prosthetic care under the law.Throughout his career, Keith has always been focused on finding better solutions for patients. He designed and developed the CJ Socket, a novel departure from conventional rigid or semi-rigid solid sockets, to help patients easily adjust the fit of the socket and accommodate limb volume changes, providing unprecedented flexibility and comfort.Keith holds a BA in Biology from St. Amselm's College, Manchester NH and has completed certificate courses in prosthetics from Northwestern University and New York University. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, past President of the American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association, and past President of the Massachusetts Society of Orthotists and Prosthetists. He has also presented AOPA’s Prosthetic coding seminars from 1996 to 2003.
