Facilitated and managed logistics for over 100 mostly student participants traveling to the Navajo Nation during a five-month residence in Tuba City, Arizona, 2017. Worked in a similar capacity but as a host to 20 Peruvian students through the Dept. of State's Youth Ambassadors Program with South America [YAPSA] in Appalachia and Washington D.C. later that year, and once again as Site Facilitator for nine Duquesne University students on a month-long immersive stay in Port of Spain and Matelot on the island of Trinidad.Enabled transformative experiential learning at the crossings of culture, and history, and at the edge of comfort zones. Practiced the principle of 'Fair Trade Learning' which suggests that local Site Partners take the wheel in sharing their life stories and culture with visitors. Empowered Site Partners and helped execute their vision. Trained and supported new Navajo Nation local Site Director. Gained the wisdom, joy and experience of meeting, listening to and working with such remarkable people in places I likely wouldn't have reached otherwise.
