Over 30 years experience in the Behavioral Health Care field.Began in the United States Navy where I attended Hospital Corps School and Psychiatric Technician School then worked on an inpatient unit assisting in providing care to mentally ill individuals.After an Honorable Discharge I worked briefly as a maintenance technician at a Convalescent Home before relocating to Arkansas.I then went to work in the Forensic Service Unit at the AR State Hospital where I assisted in providing care for the mentally ill individuals with legal issues. My duties there also included assisting the DON with the record keeping related to employee time.From there I moved to the Bridgeway where I began working with the Adolescent and Child mentally ill population. While employed at The Bridgeway I transferred into the maintenace department. I was promoted to the position of Director of EOC. Some of my duties included chair of the EOC committee, member of Infection Control Committee/Risk Management Committee. Familiar with the Joint Commission, Value Options and other regulatory agencies.Versed in all aspects of Emergency Management, from developing exercises, observation and reporting.Currently employed at Methodist Behavioral Hospital.
