Coordination with Federal Aviation Administration, State, and City Departments. Airfield pavement management.•Managed the environmental protection programs consisting of storm water pollution prevention and oil spill prevention. Maintained the Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) plan and the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). Interfaced with the U.S. EPA and the Iowa Dept. of Natural Resources. Inspected facilities and coordinated environmental training. •Wrote Requests for Proposals for capital improvements and services and managed their deliveries.•Airport planning included a Master Plan Update, several ALP updates, airspace inquiries from the City of Cedar Rapids and the public, and coordinated zoning requirements.

•Directed three critical functions: Security/Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting/Airfield Safety, Terminal Maintenance, and Field Maintenance consisting of 3 department supervisors, 1 Operations Coordinator, and 35 full-time employees. Managed in-house maintenance and repair programs including airport-owned pavements and buildings, utility systems, and snow removal.•Managed the daily operation of the airport including conformance with FAR Part 139 (Certification of Airports) and the Airport Certification Manual, conformance with 49 CFR Part 1542 (Airport Security), solving problems, employee safety programs, and working with the tenants including airline and cargo operators, government agencies, and other tenants. •Managed personnel including general work direction, hiring, counseling, development, performance evaluation, and dismissal.
