Responsible for developing and directing the global strategy for transit electrification solutions. Will identify and develop critical market development opportunities in transit - maintaining balance between short-term demand building and long-term sustained growth. Will promote CxW transit technologies and solutions, gaining entry to new markets, provide system and product innovation input to the product development group, and provide direction to project management, procurement and manufacturing. Responsible for risk management and continuous improvement initiatives for all related business processes. Represents CxW on industry governing bodies and technical committees.

Manages and directs the Omaha/Harlan Strategic Business Unit toward its primary objectives, based on profit, growth and market share, by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers. $50 million P&L responsibility.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Leads the SBU Management Team in the development and implementation of the strategic and annual business plans.Ensures the activities of functional areas are coordinated and focused on achieving business plan objectives.Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations of subordinate managers to continuously build capabilities.Coordinates activities of Business Development Managers, Product Development Manager Manufacturing, Sales and Engineering to identify and exploit potential markets, products, and product features which will support business plan objectives.

Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Responsible for two engineering teams in two locations serving 8 distinct product lines. Product development, R&D, application engineering and field service.
