Keith J. Harrison is a partner, a former New York City prosecutor, and seasoned trial lawyer who has a track record of winning big cases for major industry-leading companies. Examples include recently securing breach of contract wins for one of the nation’s largest health plans, achieving arbitration awards of $120 million and $660 million; gaining dismissal with prejudice of a $1.5 Billion False Claim Act case for one of the largest U.S. airlines in a case Keith argued up to the 11th Circuit; and winning a month-long jury trial on one of the key biotech patents for the blockbuster drug Humira®. Keith’s practice focuses on complex trial, arbitration, and investigations representing companies in highly regulated industries, including health care, pharmaceutical, tech, defense contracting, and aviation. Keith has first-chaired dozens of jury trials and argued 16 cases on appeal. He has also held multiple leadership positions at Crowell, is a former Co-Chair of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group and was twice elected to Crowell’s Management Board. Prior to joining Crowell, Keith was a founding partner of King Pagano and Harrison, a 30-lawyer litigation boutique that merged with Crowell in 2006. Keith has been a faculty member of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and was one of the founders of Crowell's in-house Trial Excellence Academy.As Chair of Crowell & Moring's Public Service Practice, Keith oversees the firm's pro bono program. Keith is also on the Board of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law and the Steering Committee for the American Bar Association’s Death Penalty Project. His pro bono practice includes amicus briefing before the U.S. Supreme Court, where he has represented the American Bar Association in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, and represented the nation’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities in Students for Fair Admissions, Inc., v. Harvard. Keith is also active in Voting Rights litigation and he was lead trial counsel in Alabama State Conference, NAACP v. Alabama (2020) challenging the state-wide election of appellate judges and Georgia State Conference, NAACP v. Georgia (2023), challenging state legislature gerrymandered redistricting plans in that state. Keith has also been featured multiple times on CBS 48 hours regarding his pro bono representation of former Florida Death Row inmate Crosley Green.
