Keith Hunter is an athlete, entrepreneur, golf pro/instructor, college football coach, a ex-professional football player and now author- but not necessarily in that order. A native of Newark, NJ, Keith was a gifted high school football player. He was recruited by the University of Iowa, where he earned a BA in Communications. Keith went on to play with the NFL, signing on as a free agent for the Cleveland Browns.On the field, Keith found metaphors for life that guided and inspired him off the field as well. When his career with the NFL came to a close, he applied his discipline and drive to other endeavors. After over 5 years of coaching college football, he played golf with his colleagues one day, and instantly fell in love with the sport.Keith immersed himself in golf. But becoming a golf pro wasn’t enough... Keith saw gaps in the market, so he founded KGH Enterprises LLC. Through his corporation, he developed golf clinics, opened golf ranges, and created a line of golf clothing. He also played on the Sunbelt Senior Tour as well. He began speaking publicly, and working with student athletes, golfers, and other entrepreneurs.Keith is very comfortable in front of the camera and standing with large audiences. He has appeared in a number of commercials and been the keynote speaker at youth football award dinners and corporate golf clinics over the years. Recently, his biggest stage came in February, were he appeared on TEDx/TED TALK Maplewood, NJ.There’s been many articles written about him in golf magazines and others as a ex-NFL player creating a few golf range businesses.Keith is a father of 2 girls who were taught golf at 4 years old and both are division 1 prospects in basketball & track, first-hand how excelling in sports teaches valuable lessons, and leads to opportunities. He saw that young golfing girls, and women were being overlooked. Not one to accept the status quo, he opened his clinics to students as young as four years old. And he developed a program, supported by corporate sponsorship, that enabled young girls to learn golf.Keith is always looking for the next challenge, and is committed to inspiring and motivating others through public speaking, workshops and team building training. His trendsetting ways will help the next business owners learn how to stay ahead of the curve and see the big picture in small intervals to finish strong.
