My professional focus is on enabling change within the business ecosystem, particularly the food supply chain, which includes growers, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, engineers, marketers, accountants, solicitors, and web developers. At Thomas Jardine and Co, I collaborate with individuals, businesses, academic institutions, and government bodies at both regional and national levels to enhance the vibrancy of this ecosystem.As the Research Lead at Thomas Jardine & Co, I stay current with business trends and integrate this knowledge into our coaching, mentoring, and peer group sessions.Current Projects Supporting Business Change:- Assisting businesses in developing new products or services.- Facilitating business change from individual ownership to management teams and board levels.- Leading change initiatives with peer groups and mentoring business leaders.- Creating and supporting business groups.- Designing and delivering business programs and courses for four universities and various business support agencies from both the public and private sectors.- Conducting commissioned research for clients such as Cumbria LEP, LSIP, and Be the Business.- Innovating through The Guild Building in Carlisle, which won The Innovation Award at the 2018 Carlisle Living Awards. In its first six years, The Guild has: - Hosted over 200 businesses as Guilders, ranging from part-time to full-time membership. - Provided meeting spaces for over 120 businesses or business groups. - Helped create numerous jobs and supported several businesses as they grew into their own units.BackgroundThomas Jardine & Co is built on two decades of running our own convenience store business in SW Scotland, part of Jacqui’s family business for 120 years. We expanded the business from 4 to 50 employees, earning several national awards. Following this venture, I earned an MA (Distinction) in Business Management, focusing on supply chain relationships. My research has been presented at various conferences, including BAM, IMP, ISBE, and LRN.
