Keith is currently enrolled in a Culinary Degree, through the Art Institute of Tampa working on being a Chef.Major Lorenz was the Recruiting Flight Commander for Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 158, located at the University of South Florida. He was responsible for recruiting qualified candidates into the ROTC program and managed the training of cadets. Additionally, he was the primary instructor for the AS 200 cadets, responsible for academic curriculum and cadet preparation for Field Training.Prior to ROTC he was deployed to Afghanistan in support of the International Security Assistance Force and NATO as a Plans Flight Commander. While there he led the communications construction efforts to build Shindand AB into the premier Afghan Air Force training base. His most recent assignment was as the Operations Flight Commander for the 2d Communications Squadron, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. He led 232 personnel who provided communications, airfield navigation aid maintenance and administrative support to 10,000 personnel at Global Strike Command, 8th Air Force and the 2d Bomb Wing on Barksdale AFB. Additionally he was assigned to the National Security Agency coordinating cyber operations and unmanned aircraft signals integration.Keith enlisted in the Air Force in 1991 and received his commission from Officer Training School in 2002 after graduating from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He has had assignments at Hill AFB Utah, RAF Lakenheath United Kingdom, Osan AB Korea, Aviano AB Italy, Kadena AB Japan, MacDill AFB Flordia, Ft. Meade Maryland, and Barksdale AFB Louisiana. He has deployed four times in support of the Global War on Terrorism, once as an enlisted Airman with Air Force Special Operations to the Philippines and three times as an officer to Kyrgyzstan, Iraq and Afghanistan.
