Building relationships and providing superior levels of service are at the root of any successful business. As a young man, I learned the value of an individual customer while working at a concession at the Staten Island Ferry Terminal serving coffee to patrons. I treated each customer in a friendly and respectful manner, and equally significantly, committed to memory the way that individual patrons preferred their coffee. The service I provided dramatically increase sales, as well as the gratuities I received.In the arena of fixed income trading, I have leveraged those skills, supplemented by considerable market and product knowledge, to drive revenues and advance into leadership capacities. During a 15+ year career, I have traded and managed books of business of up to $100 million, establishing inventory positions maximizing sales credits and desk profitability. In addition, I have helped to build the organizations with which I have been affiliated by drawing upon the relationships I have built during prior employment to recruit trade and sales-side personnel. In the case of one organization I joined, the personnel I recruited generated the vast majority of revenues produced.My life and career have taught me valuable lessons, among them –- I don’t know everything; but what I do know, I know thoroughly.- It is persistence rather than inspiration that solves the most difficult problems.- Building or transforming an organization begins with its people.- I have a sense of adventure, learn something new everyday, and am open to new possibilities.I very much enjoy meeting new people and am intrigued by new and different ideas.
