I represent clients in complex and high-stakes civil litigation and criminal and regulatory investigation matters, involving agencies such as the SEC, CFTC, DOJ, and FINRA. I leverage my background as a former SEC enforcement lawyer and my extensive knowledge of the securities laws and regulations to provide effective and strategic counsel to clients. I am the author of the chapter “Regulatory Litigation With the SEC” in the leading litigation treatise - Business and Commercial Litigation in Federal Courts (Fifth Edition).I am also one of the founders of Perkins Coie's Blockchain and Digital Assets & Custody industry group, which is at the forefront of the emerging and evolving cryptocurrency space. Perkin Coie was recognized as one of the top law firms in the 2024 edition of Chambers Fintech Legal, a guide to the best law firms and lawyers in the global fintech industry. Perkins Coie was ranked as one of five Band 1 leading law firms. I have been involved in some of the most significant cryptocurrency-related litigations, such as SEC v. LBRY, SEC v. Binance, and SEC v. Ripple, where I have successfully defended and advocated for clients' interests. I am passionate about the innovation and potential of blockchain and digital assets, and I contribute to the development of the legal and regulatory framework for the industry, by co-authoring publications, participating in panels, and engaging with stakeholders. I am a recognized expert in this field, and I have been invited to speak at various industry events and to guest lecture at Harvard Law School.
