I really enjoy research, the life of the mind, gathering data, qualitative and quantitative, reading others perspectives, and collaboratively developing policy narratives. In my dream job I would like to evaluate programs, gathering data, interviewing program managers, resolving mission statements, and using observations to help program stakeholders measure progress toward goals. I would enjoy fostering mutually beneficial connections among people and organizations that seek to enrich youth. In this cause, schools are most valuable, particularly teachers. Students connected to the schools are less likely to engage in risky behaviors, and teachers that connect students to schools are essential. I would like to help foster connections between teachers, administrators, school employees, the community, and parents. I believe schools should be central to a comprehensive picture of community development, and in my dream job I would contribute to this mission.

  I have constructed curriculum for students with substance abuse, collaborated with their sending schools, assessed student learning, collaborated with a clinical team, and connected with students. To give students experiences in the community, each summer I have conducted a summer enrichment program.
