I am an experienced communications professional with extensive experience in content strategy and development, customer/constituent engagement, brand management, writing and editing, nonprofit communications, and more. I am a resourceful, intelligent and thoughtful team member successful in leading major communications initiatives, including website redesigns, launches of major research works, video productions, case studies, reports, marketing campaigns, editorial calendars, publications and surveys.Since 2019, I have led the communications work for an organization serving more than 100,000 eligible members across six states. Working with a modest budget, I have successfully built and managed a small and effective communications team, supplementing with consultants and firms to carry out specialized work as needed.In my time in the role of Assistant Director, and now as Director, the organization’s brand has been transformed, and our communications capabilities have increased. Since early-2022, we have revitalized our Facebook and LinkedIn presence; addressed reputation management and crisis communications work; launched five videos promoting our work and our members’ success; created an annual report; conducted a brand affinity survey of our members; and launched two high-profile collaborative works with accompanying press releases. In addition, under my leadership, the team has continued to execute a steady workload of content creation and distribution at a high level, including: flyers, postcards and other small designed pieces; social media posts; weekly email marketing blasts; presentations; member testimonials and stories; and website content.
