• Provide technical advice to the NLC and Aboriginal People in relation to projects and tenements relevant to the Minerals and Energy Sectors.
• Facilitate meetings between Minerals and Energy Companies and Aboriginal People throughout the Northern Territory.
• Administer granted titles and applications for minerals & energy exploration and production in accordance with the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976 (ALRA) & Native Title Act 1993 (NTA), including.
• Provide budgeting and other financial services, including for the recovery of costs associated with M&E projects.
• Prepare information, for NLC Anthropology, Regional Development, Legal, Community Planning & development Branches as required to facilitate their engagement with minerals and energy projects.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including government agencies and minerals and energy companies and their representative bodies.

• GIS/IT:
• Acquisition and management of geospatial data using ESRI ArcGIS and other spatial software.
• Provision of high-level geospatial analysis and creation of new spatial content including high quality cartographic maps.
• Management of IT service contracts, hardware/software acquisitions and subscriptions.
• Provision of systems support and staff training. Monitoring and reporting to senior management on geospatial/IT systems issues, IT service provider performance and recommended improvements.

• Participation in development of the national EnQuire Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Improvement software framework in the natural resource management context.
• Financial, target, KPI, milestone, and MERI reporting of all CYSF projects.
• Spatial Analysis of geographic data and remote sensing of fire scars and hotspots for early warning systems, and historical mapping.
• Development of partnerships with CSIRO, Indigenous Communities, and local Land Managers to enrich native habitat outcomes.
• Negotiation with Government officials and land managers on targets / milestones for projects.

• Preparation of Town Planning proposal reports.
• Preparation of maps showing proposed developments in relation to town planning schemes.
• Provision of support to other team members in relation to IT / Mapping.
