I have worked in IT Support & Infrastructure for 16 years, During this time I have worked in the private sector and local government and have gained valuable experience in a wide range of computer support. 14 years of this at Aberdeenshire Council where I have successfully negotiated a career progression scheme meeting and exceeding targets for technical ability, aptitude & for performing to a high standard. I have spent the last 8 months covering a Systems Administrator role as colleague left and it was later decided they wouldn’t be replaced.I have managed to achieve a high degree of technical awareness making me extremely effective in problem solving and customer delivery, which in turn gives a great deal of job satisfaction. I have demonstrated my ability to learn new skills quickly to a high degree of competence and shown I am calm but determined under pressure.Tactful and patient communication, clear direction and focus have been the characteristics which have played a big part in helping me achieve what I have thus far in my career. I feel team work is of the utmost importance and learning from and working with others has helped me in my own personal developmentI am currently looking for a challenging position in the field of Microsoft Windows, support & development where my skills will be utilised to both benefit your organisation and my own personal development.
