Northward Towers (NT) has been created as a subsidiary of communication infrastructure contractor Wesbell Technologies with the intent to be a developer, owner, and manager of communication tower infrastructure and rooftop sites that serve as critical locations for wireless networks as well as developing electronic signage and electric vehicle charging stations to enhance the value and customer experiences at select partner properties.NT will develop multi use communications, electronic signage, and EV infrastructure at in-demand locations across Canada by securing flexible long-term leasehold rights to targeted properties across Canada and will market communication towers access rights to Mobile Network Operators (MNO’s), electronic media signage to Out-of-Home (OOH) advertisers, electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS) to operators/developers as well as Internet of Things (IoT) related device locations and services.

Managed Operations and Maintenance Site portfolio of 7000+ Sites on $180M annual Opex budget. • Led build, acquisition and construction of 3500 cell site projects executed annually with budget of $300M.• Led finance cost reduction program driving savings of $36M for the period 2015 to 2020. Achieved through detailed analysis of real estate budget to validate A/P, and renegotiating agreements for reduction in terms.• Implemented Zone Management system – National Standard process with Regional Execution. 15 geographical zones established to execute build programs with full P&L accountability. Resulted in equitable distribution of budget and improved focus and execution of projects.• Introduced Automation (4) System changes (SmartPort; BuildNet; LeaseNet; DocuSign). SmartPort improved project and financial controls and compliance with corporate policies; DocuSign automated contractual signatures delivering huge savings in couriers, reduction in cycle time and use of paper.• Negotiated 3 major outsource agreements with Major Telecom vendors – Huawei, Ericsson and Nokia – for new 5G build-out.• Led integration of Aliant, MTS, Bell Radio Public Safety, BCE Tower portfolio delivering standardized processes and workforce optimization and improved ability for volume-based discounts. Full integration of people, processes and technology following first year of acquisition.• Implemented PBD (Paid by Deliverable model) for construction and real estate. Created a flexible workforce which allowed Bell to handle increased volume through scalable workforce, with no increase to FTE.

Managed service delivery of Voice & DSL High Speed Internet, Fiber, Cable, and Central office. • Introduced (PCE) Performance Management System and process that dispatched, measured cost and time per job, eliminating Technician appointment selectivity, which increased individual efficiency from 3 to 5 job completions per day per technician. Factual data used for coaching improvement.• Removed vehicle home dispatch, despite strong union objection, which resulted in cost saving for fuel and vehicle maintenance of $1M per year. Increased productivity was also observed as a result.• Supported privatization of Aliant Income Trust and successfully transitioned disgruntled 380 Technicians to the newly formed company. The move secured substantial government subsidies to Bell for providing improved broadband to rural areas.• Supported seamless customer deliverables through 2 divisional employee union strikes and 2200 grievances.• Negotiated with union to consolidate two separate technician support roles to optimize work execution and reducing outage time by 20%.
