Thatcher's Coffee is high-level, quality coffee shop who is pioneering with the other elite shops and roasters in the Vancouver/Portland area. Despite a very high volume of foot traffic and a fast-paced work environment, my customers were always met with only the best customer service and hospitality especially. I underwent much advanced training with our Portland roasters in order to take my barista skills to an advanced level, as well as competed in latte art competitions, and learned the ins and outs of all the tools baristas use (grinders, machines, general equipment).

My main purpose at Thomas Hammer, Inc. was to provide customers with the most satisfying experience as they come to enjoy their drinks. My favorite part was conversing about a wide range of topics with customers as I prepared their drinks exactly as they prefer. I loved to draw designs in drinks with steamed milk and watching the smiles and enjoyment that customers show as they see these designs. The number one priority was to build long term customer relationships as this made for the best work environment, happy individuals, and for increased growth for the company.

No matter what job I was performing on any given day at Borders, it was always my main focus to be accommodating the needs of the customer. I prided myself in giving customers unique and enjoyable experiences as they shopped at Borders or at the Seattle's Best Coffee shop that was a part of the store.
