Major, US Army, Infantry (Retired). 23 years service in the United States Army including 12 years enlisted. I began my tour of duty as a Private Soldier in the Infantry. Held many jobs including Rifleman, Machinegunner, Fire Team Leader, Squad Leader, and Ranger Rifle Platoon Sergeant with the US Army Rangers. I was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in 2003 and continued my career as a Rifle Platoon Leader in the Ranger Regiment. I deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq numerous times in command of a Ranger Platoon, a Stryker Infantry Company, or a desk on the 2nd Infantry Division Brigade Staff. I was blessed to culminate my career as an Assistant Professor of Military Science at Texas A&M University with the Fighting Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets.
