My primary focus is to support the administration of two programs that provide funds to schools and districts across California. The first is the E-rate program, which provides discounts to schools and districts for broadband internet services. The second is the Microsoft K-12 Technology Voucher Settlement, which has provided almost a half billion dollars to schools and districts over the past 15 years.Additionally, I am also involved with work related ensuring that all California schools and districts have access to high-speed broadband internet, efforts to increase the availability of high quality open education resources (OER) and efforts to standardize education data conventions.

I served as a member of the California team responsible for supporting the implementation of the Smarter Balanced Interim Assessments and the Smarter Balanced Digital Library. In this role I served as the lead consultant on a project to deliver regional training across the state of California on the California Department of Education’s new assessment program, California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP). These trainings were titled the CAASPP Institute and the Smarter Balanced Assessments were used as the model for the direction in which California K-12 assessment is moving.Additionally, I served as a member of the California State Leadership Team for the Smarter Balanced Digital Library. I provided recommendations to improve the user friendliness of the Smarter Balanced Digital Library related to the user interface, the process for vetting resources, and the mechanism for collecting new resources.

Managed a team of 14 trainers and curriculum developers, based in Folsom California and Fort Collins Colorado.My team was responsible for developing and delivering technical training products to teach our customers how to use Agilent's proprietary network management platform to manage large telecom and data networks.Classes ranged in duration from 2 - 5 days. All classes were delivered on a UNIX/Oracle platform.

Responsible for developing and delivering training courses to software developers, network engineers, and network operators. Courses were 2 - 5 days in duration and focused on how to install and manage our network management software. Our most popular course taught software developers how to use our object oriented platform to monitor and manage all the equipment on their network.The lecture portion of the training was supported by PowerPoint. We also wrote participant manuals and developed labs on a UNIX/Oracle platform.
