CurrentConducted a minimum of 2 daily mud checks during a 24 hour tour, and any spot checks as needed to maintain drilling fluid properties, while drilling with different mud systems in complex land based environments.• Consulted with Drill Site Manager regarding changing properties in the drilling fluid and make accurate, cost efficient recommendations to maintain drilling mud properties.• Communicate with rig crew to ensure mud properties are kept in specification by adding required chemicals in desired amounts.• Manage daily inventory counts to ensure proper billing and quantity of mud products.• Ensure mud products are placed in safe environments while on rig and safeguarded against damage and elements.• Participated in daily safety meetings and communicating safety and production requirements to rig crews.• Performed weekly rig safety audits and notify discrepancies to the Drill Site Manager.• Communciate with Drill Site Manager and drilling team throughout well and after well completion to correct and maintain prompt billing of mud products.• Safely and efficiently manage wellsite operations relevant to the drilling fluids system.• In-depth knowledge of the drilling fluids system chemistry; manage testing and maintain the properties of the drilling fluids system as per the clients requirements.• Provided recommendations to resolve issues such as lack of hole cleaning, lost circulation, and manage the drilling fluids system during well control conditions. • Manage all operations and train Drilling Fluids Specialist trainees utilizing on-the-job training. • Test and maintain the properties of the drilling fluids system without supervision and as per the clients requirements.
